In this paper, the first record of Tuxophorus caligodes Wilson, 1908 (Siphonostomatoida: Caligidae) off the North coast of Brazil is documented. This caligid copepod was found parasitizing the live sharksucker Echeneis naucrates Linnaeus, 1758 (Carangiformes: Echeneidae) a typical host of this parasitic copepod in the Atlantic waters.In this paper the first record of Tuxophorus caligodes Wilson, 1908 (Siphonostomatoida: Caligidae) off the North coast of Brazil is documented.
