The aim of the research was also to be able to identify good practice and make policy and practice recommendations to the criminal justice system in responding to domestic abuse during the covid 19 pandemic. We deployed mixed and qualitative methods to gather an appreciation of practice responses being made by and from criminal justice professionals during 2020-21 supplemented by an analysis of publicly available secondary statistics.
