The dataset contains information on the number of public transport, cultural facilities and memberships and on health care. The data is aggregated on district (canton) and national level for the years 1970 to 1989. The information is based on the online version of the Statistical Yearbooks of the German Democratic Republic. The research for this dataset was financed by the research grant KO 2239/3-1 “Spontane Revolution oder lange Wende?
