Síndrome de Burnout en conductores de microbuses de la ciudad de Santiago de Chile

This study estimates the number of cases of Burnout Syndrome on a sample constituted by 120 bus drivers from Santiago de Chile. In order to evaluate the sample it was applied to them the Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS), which is an adaptation of the classic test (MBI-Human Services Survey), used for the health professionals. The results revealed the presence of the syndrome, caracterized by low levels of cynism (56,67%), but high levels of emotional exhaustion (45,83%) and proffesional effectiveness (68,33%), and points out that, on the correlations matrix, the only correlation which was highly significant (pEn este trabajo se estima la incidencia del Síndrome de Burnout en una muestra de 120 conductores de microbuses de la ciudad de Santiago de Chile.
