The Family Health Strategy (FHS) was created in order to reorganize the concept of primary care in the country based on its fundamental principle of fairness, completeness and universality. Objective: Assuming the Family Health Strategy was a strategy to ensure the right to health, this study seeks to identify improvements in the quality of life among vulnerable populations after its implementation. Methods: The chosen method consists of a literature’s critical review. 12 studies conducted in Brazil during the period 2006-2011 were identified at the PubMed, Lilacs, Web of Knowledge and CINHAL databases.
