Short-circuit power is an important parameter for voltage dips. It determines both the severity and extent of the affected area. This paper reports the results of a case study on the impact of the energy transition on short-circuit power.Future developments could have positive (+) or negative (-) impacts on short-circuit power. This study quantifies the effect of projected changes to the Groningen-Drenthe (E)HV-grid in the Netherlands by a parametric analysis. For a large number of nodes, short-circuit power is increased by grid reinforcements necessary for the energy transition.
