The polygonal honeycomb core has been vertically rotated and spliced to form a new three-dimensional polygonal honeycomb (TPH) structure lattice. Young’s modulus and Poisson’s ratio for the three main directions of the TPH structure had been derived from Castigliano’s second theorem and Moore’s theorem. The theoretical results show good agreement with the numerical and experimental results. Meanwhile, the compressive strength of the TPH structure has been analyzed. The results show that the geometric parameters have a significant effect on the elasticity and strength of TPH structures, and the mechanical properties of the TPH structures can be programmed by adjusting the geometric parameters. In addition, the TPH structure exhibits a bidire...
