There has been rapid development and adoption of the digital construction process globally, and this has led to the production of vast volumes of asset information. Following the implementation of the process on an highways project in the United Kingdom, it was observed that the current BIM process could potentially lead to an overload of information which could diminish the value of implementing the process. It was also observed that some of the asset information could be of great value, but had not been specified in the information requirements.
