The invention relates to a simulator training system for simulation training in ultrasound examination or ultrasound-guided procedures. The training system comprises a moveable simulator input device to be operated by the user, and means for displaying an ultrasound scan view image which is an image or facsimile image of an ultrasound scan. The scan view image is variable and related to the position and/or orientation of the simulator input device. The system further includes means for displaying a second image, the second image being an anatomical graphical representation of a slice through of the body structure associated with the ultrasound scan view, the slice through displaying the scan beam plane of the simulator input device.
