The reaction mechanism of the polymerization of epichlorhydrin catalyzed with sodium hydroxide,was being researched in connection with the following results: the generation of acetylene and hydrogen throughout the polymerization,the ESR spectrum of the active species in reacting process,and the same polymerization of epichlorhydrin. The polymerizations of epichlorhydrin, catalyzed with sodium hydroxide, were being made to find out the polymerization condition under which the obtained polymer will serve as an adsorbent. The polymerization was examined by taking account of reaction temperature, atomosphere, pressure and the amount of sodium hydroxide, an in relation to the adsorption of acetic acid and methylene blue from aqueous solutions. ...
