The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Hugh Fuller. Fuller was born in Rogers, Texas 17 October 1924. He was drafted into the Army in 1942 and received his basic training at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. He recalls his time at boot camp and that he was assigned to the 69th Cavalry Reconnaissance Troop (Mechanized), 69th Infantry Division upon completion. During training at Fort Knox, Kentucky he recalls meeting and speaking with President Roosevelt. Fuller was sent to England shortly after the Allied landing on D-Day.
