The result of the electrical survey which was carried out in the north-eastern area of Mikuni in Fukui shows that there is a conspicuous subsurface in the area. Referring to the results of resistivity measurements in the bore holes drilled at the eastern part of the area,it is clear that the subsurface represents the lower face of the sand layer of thickness about 10 to 20m lying over the area. The subsurface,being faintly undulated and inclined toward the north,suddenly decreases its depth to the west at about 20m on the NW-SE line beginning at the north-western corner of this area. This discontinuity of the subsurface may show the existence of a huried fault along the line
