This thesis reviews the potential opportunities and threats that exist in the beverage market of Bangladesh. The focus is mainly issues related to the promotional activities, distribution channel, pricing strategies and whether the emergence of new beverage companies are affecting the other beverage companies of Bangladesh. Like every other part of the world companies like Coca-Cola and Pepsi Cola were dominating in the Bangladesh beverage market. Until 2004, the major competitor of Coca Cola was Pepsi Cola. But since 2002 a new brand Mecca Cola joined between the existing competition of Coke and Pepsi and has become a strong rival among them compared to other local brands.
