Cassava peel is the leading waste generated by the cassava processing industry. One of the regulatory efforts is to use it as a raw material for activated Carbon to adsorb dyes. This study aims to determine the adsorption capacity of activated Carbon from cassava peel waste on yellow dye. Activated Carbon from cassava peel has been identified using FTIR. The results of FTIR characterization determined the absorption of functional groups O-H, C=C, C-H, and C-O, which indicated the presence of lignocellulose and hemicellulose content in the activated Carbon of cassava peel.
