Monitoring of physics variables is crucial to ensure data quality in the LHCb experiment. Automatic tests on monitoring histograms are a well established tool in the online data processing to identify potential issues as they arise. To extend the assurance of data quality for simulation production to the same level as online, we implemented automatic checks on monitoring histograms generated during simulation test jobs. The execution of those checks was incorporated into the GitLab-CI pipeline as well as into the monitoring system Monet
