Análisis bibliométrico de la producción científica sobre gestión de datos en la categoría Information Science and Library Science de Web of Science

Data management is a process of controlling and processing data throughout its life cycle to ensure its value enhancement. The objective of this bibliometric study was to analyze the scientific production on data management in the Information science and library science category of Web of Science. A quantitative study was carried out by analyzing data based on 13 indicators. In the retrieval of docu ments, 743 records obtained, with a predominance of articles as the document type and English as the language. The most productive author is Andrew Cox, while the most productive journal is the Journal of The American Medical Informatics Association. The most productive country is the United States, followed by England. The keywords are related to data curation, information literacy, open science, research data management plans, networked databases and semantic web. As conclusions, aspects such as publication from university consortiums are mentioned, the scope of librarianship in the most cited publications is discussed, and data management is identified as a gap in indexed librarian research in Chile
