The improvements in the ground-based techniques for γ-ray detection, particularly the Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes (IACTs), allowed the development of Very-High Energy (VHE) astronomy. Nowadays, more than 250 sources populate the TeV sky, and the number is expected to rise when the Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO) will see its first light. It will consist of two arrays composed of IACTs with three different designs to cover the energy range from 20 GeV to 300 TeV.
