This thesis presents a study exploring the use of Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN) to boost Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD) levels and its potential in combating aging and age-related bone loss. NAD, a vital cellular coenzyme, regulates DNA repair and energy production. As NAD declines with age, it contributes to various age-related health problems. In a four-week animal model study, we investigated NMN supplementation's ability to raise NAD levels and its implications for countering age-related bone loss. Our results offer promising insights into the therapeutic potential of NMN for addressing NAD-related aging issues
