The primary objective of this study was to provide a basis for projecting the total costs of direct and purchased services in providing for the investigation and treatment of physical abuse, sexual abuse, denial of critical care and other child protective service referrals as are the responsibility of the Iowa Department of Social Services. To assist us in reaching the primary objective we have set many sub-objectives which you may think of as steps, as reaching each of the sub-objectives brings us closer to the primary objective
