Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have produced graduates who have had a direct impact on African independence movements and economic advancement on the continent. Since demographic research demonstrates that 1 in 4 people on earth will be in/from Africa by 2050 and 6 of the 10 fastest growing economies in the world are in Africa, HBCUs must prepare their students to be global citizens who create strategic alliances on the continent of Africa.
