Type II diabetes has a high prevalence in Latin America, it is a disease that continues to increase its incidence up to the present time, being convenient to identify it in its association with other diseases. According to that, the objective of this research was to substantiate the association between the lipid profile and obesity in patients with type II diabetes in Latin America. The systematic, exploratory and descriptive bibliographic review methodology was applied, using inclusion and exclusion criteria, with a search strategy in primary databases such as; Scielo, Dialnet, Lilas, Pubmed, Google Scholar.
