Syphilis is a disease caused by sores on the genitals called chancres and is transmitted through contact and is asymptomatic. This article deals with a current review of the prevalence of syphilis and complications in patients with HIV. The objective is to determine the factors associated with the disease through a bibliographic documentary methodology, the information analyzed was selected through inclusion and exclusion criteria, and scientific articles from the years 2017 to 2022 were included. In the results, at a more relevant general level, it stands out that the risk of syphilis infection is higher in men and increased with age.
