Twenty-four individuals changed hair treatment between the two hair samplings.

The hair testosterone concentrations were grouped according to the treatment category instead of sampling time (baseline or follow-up). On average the testosterone concentrations were 0.5 pg/mg higher in the treated hair category (p = 0.005, paired samples Wilcoxon test).
