International audienceWe investigate experimentally the soliton pattern formation in passively modelockedfiber lasers. Under specific conditions a stable soliton crystal is formed. Wedemonstrate that the crystal becomes unstable when the pumping power increases resulting in asplitting into crystals of smaller extent.</p
