According to several recent scientific articles, some planetary boundaries have already been overstepped and crossing certain biophysical thresholds could have disastrous consequences for humanity. This risk appeals to important changes, at short and longer terms, within our ways of behaving and living. In this global context, environmental assessment is considered as a way of constructing new representations of environmental issues to make people consider ecological issues.
