Texte, dynamique interprétative et communauté discursive

Text, interpretative process and discourse community Texts are only written and read as part of regulated social discourse practices. This article analyses the second aspect of this tension, the textual process linked to interpretation, with reference to chapters 16 and 17 of the First Book of Samuel in the Old Testament. These chapters frequently display incoherence without ceasing to produce the effect of a text. How does the reader think the text not in spite of these contradictions but with them? The hypothesis is based on the idea that questions of faith can be treated not only from a historical point of view but also from a narrative one, signifying the complexity of the relationship between men and God. This hypothesis will be examined from a theoretical point of view, using the notion of text construction through reading, a processus which will be compared critically with the hermeneutic process and the notion of interpretative community, in order to bring to the surface the idea of dialogical and interactional construction, in discourse communities.Les textes ne s'écrivent et ne se lisent que dans des pratiques sociodiscursivement réglées. L'article analyse le deuxième versant de cette tension, du côté la dynamique textuelle en lien avec l'interprétation, à partir des chapitres 16 et 17 du Premier Livre de Samuel, dans l'Ancien Testament qui présentent des incohérences nombreuses, sans cesser de produire un effet de texte. Comment le lecteur pense-t-il le texte non en dépit de ces contradictions, mais avec elles ? L'hypothèse repose sur l'idée d'une problématisation de la foi exhibée non seulement au plan de l'histoire, mais à celui de la narration, signifiant la complexité du rapport des hommes à Dieu. Cette hypothèse sera examinée d'un point de vue théorique, à travers la notion d'actualisation du texte par la lecture, processus qui sera confronté de façon critique avec le processus herméneutique et la notion de communauté interprétative, afin de faire émerger l'idée d'une actualisation dialogique et interactionnelle, dans des communautés discursives
