This paper offers a critical analysis of this situation by exposing specifically Christian concepts for a political theology. These concepts have determined the permanence and flexibility of political theology since Constantine's Empire up to contemporary liberal democracies.La thèse du théologien Erik Peterson selon laquelle la théologie chrétienne a rompu avec le problème théologico-politique du paganisme grec et romain et le monothéisme israélite est fondée théologiquement, mais discutable historiquement. C'est à cette analyse critique qu'est consacré cet article par la mise en évidence de catégories spécifiquement chrétiennes d'une théologie politique.
