International audience"This article offers a conceptual reconstruction of some of the political and theoretical projects formulated during the 1980s in the United States and that established the field of standpoint epistemologies. In particular, the author examines theoretical approaches that make reference to materialist feminism. These approaches reveal tensions that are useful for an historical, but also a normative analysis, and highlight what feminism stands to gain or lose, intellectually and politically, as a function of which definition of “materialism” is preferred. The first part of the article focuses on the materialist feminism formulated in the early texts of Harding, Hartsock, Rose and Smith. The second part compares Donna Haraway and Patricia Hill Collins’s respective attempts to develop this initial project while refusing to prioritize gender domination.""Cet article opère une reconstruction conceptuelle de certaines des propositions politiques et théoriques qui, formulées dans les années 1980 aux États-Unis, ont fondé le champ des épistémologies du standpoint. L’auteure interroge en particulier les conceptions que recouvre la référence au féminisme matérialiste. Celles-ci révèlent des tensions qu’il est utile d’analyser dans une perspective historique, mais également normative : il s’agit de voir ce que telle ou telle définition du matérialisme fait gagner ou perdre au féminisme, sur un plan tant intellectuel que politique. Une première partie est consacrée au féminisme matérialiste initialement défendu par Harding, Hartsock, Rose et Smith. La partie suivante confronte deux tentatives de reprendre ce projet en rompant avec la priorité donnée au genre sur les autres rapports de domination : celles de Donna Haraway et de Patricia Hill Collins.
