The Neuro2Co project aimed to test the hypothesis that the organisation of brain connections accounts for the behavioural adaptation strategies of different animal species. To test this hypothesis, we chose to study animals whose behavioural adaptation strategies are modified by genetic selection (highly emotional and low-emotional quails) or by life experience in early life (lambs raised on artificial milk with or without music).
