We consider a model previously developed to describe spin-spin asymmetries is proton-proton large angle elastic scattering and apply it to predict proton spin-spin asymmetries in electron-proton elastic scattering. Our results differ from those commonly expected in a perturbative QCD scheme. The measurement of the spin asymmetries would provide a direct measurement of the two proton elastic form factors and a clean further test of our mechanism
