このたび記載報告する四放珊瑚化石Ivanovia sp. indet. は,三重県志摩半島,志摩市北部の逢坂峠東方に分布する秩父累帯北帯逢坂峠コンプレックス中の石灰岩から産出したものである。共存する紡錘虫化石のデーターから,この種の産出年代はペルム紀前期と考えられる。これは,日本のペルム紀前期ではじめて発見されたIvanovia属の種である。A rugose coral species, Ivanovia sp. indet. is described in this paper. It was collected from a limestone in the Ousakatoge Complex, Northern Chichibu Terrane, Shima Peninsula, Sourthwest Japan. Judging from the Paleontological data, the age indicates Early Permian. This paper is the first reported record of an Early Permian species of Ivanovia found from Japan
