According to the preceding study of conservation, it was founded that child's approach to conservation was determined by the factors of chronlongical age, intelligence and the others. But the author examined the methodological problems of experiment in this paper, and pointed out the followings : 1) The clinical observation and the analysis of logic are useful in examining the mental factors which contribute to the development of conservation. 2) In attempt to gain some futher understandings, we have to make use of the procedure of transfer expriment and evaluate the relative contribution of specific training on development of conservational thinking.
