異なった社会システムにおける時間的展望と学校のタイプ : 日本とベルギーの青年の比較

This study attempted to examine if the effect of the school types on time perspective varied according to different social systems. Two hundred eighty seven Belgian adolescents in two types of schools and 366 Japanese adolescents in three types of schools were administered by the questionnaire that measured time orientation and time attitude. Main results were as followings : (1) Students in different school types were associated with the familial background, which was commonly seen in Belgium and Japan ; (2) Belgium showed the university students had more positive attitude towards the aspect related to the future than the post high school ones that engaged in vocational training, but there were different effects by sex. ; (3) Japan showed school differences also in other aspects of time. The national university students showed higher hope and self-fullness but lower goal-directedness. The private university students showed higher delay of gratification and more positive towards the past. The vocational school students showed higher goal-directedness but lower hope and self-fullness. These findings suggested the stratification might affect time perspective in the interaction with sex and school characteristics in the diverse way depending on the social systems. Bulletin of the Institute for Educational Research (Osaka Kyoiku University), 31, 59-73, 1996.異なった社会システムにおける時間的展望と学校のタイプ : 日本とベルギーの青年の比較、白井利明、大阪教育大学心理学教室.高等学校における学校のタイプが時間的展望に及ぼす影響のあり方が、ベルギーと日本で異なるかどうかを検討した。２８７人のベルギーと３６６人の日本の青年を対象に、ベルギーでは大学と高等教育機関の２つの学校に所属する学生を、日本では国立大学、私立大学、専門学校の３つの学校に所属する学生を対象に、時間的指向性と時間的態度に関する調査を行った。その結果、（１）ベルギーでも日本でも、大学生の親は、専門学校の学生の親と比べて、高い学歴や熟練を必要とする職業を持つことが示された。（２）ベルギーでは、将来無関心と希望という未来の次元において、大学生が非大学高等教育機関の学生より肯定的であったが、過去と未来に対する時間的態度では性との交互作用が見られた。（３）日本は、国立大学は希望と充実感が高く、私立大学は満足遅延が高く過去に肯定的で、専門学校は目標思考的であったが希望と充実感に欠けた。これらの結果から、ある社会的システムのもとで、階層性が性や学校特性と相互作用しながら時間的展望に影響を及ぼすと考えられた。しかし、調査対象校を増やして本調査結果が特定の学校の特殊性によるものでないかどうかの検討や縦断的研究、時間的展望の内容分析が今後の課題として残された。大阪教育大学教育研究所報、３１、５９－７３，１９９
