On the Connection between Polytechnical Education and General Education

The polytechnical education which has been developed in socialistic countries, arrests the attention of the whole world including capitalistic countries. This article is an attempt to explain correctly the concept and function of polytechnical education. In the first half of this paper the author refers to the concept of polytechnical education, especially based on N.K. Krupskaya's ideas. The latter half discusses the polytechnical education as an aspect of general education. This research leads to the conclusion that polytechnical education is closely connected with the instruction in natural and social sciences
