ガスクロマトグラフィーによる赤血球中のα-トコフェロールの新定量法

A method, based on gas-liquid chromatography, is described for the determination of α-tocopherol in separated red cells. Conventional methods have a big drawback in that the intercellular fluid is neglected completely. The intercellular fluid (trapped plasma) can be measured by using sucrose, which does not permeate red cell membranes, but disperses uniformly in plasma. The average tocopherol content in the separated red cells of the male and female adults, who ranged in age from 23 to 38 years, was 1.65±0.141μg/ml. The newly developed method will make an important contribution to the investigation of the red cells and plasma containing tocopherol.ガスクロマトグラフィーによる分離赤血球のα-トコフェロールの定量法について検討した。従来の方法は, 遠沈した赤血球の細胞間隙を無視しているため測定値に正確さを欠いている。本法は, (1) 遠沈した赤血球のα-トコフェロールを定量する。(2) 血漿のα-トコフェロールを定量する。(3) シュークロスを用い細胞間隙に含まれる血漿を定量する。以上の方法により分離赤血球のα-トコフェロール量を測定する。本法によって測定した結果,分離赤血球のα-トコフェロール量は, 23歳から38歳の成人で, 1.65±0.141μg/ml であった
