GFRPの破壊過程と発光現象の機構を明らかにする目的で,アコースティック・エミッション(AE)法を用いた実験を行った.実験は引張荷重を与えた試料に小型加速度計をとりつけ,試料の変形・破壊に伴うAEを測定した.一方,光の検出には光電子増倍管を用いた.AEについては,主として平織材およびマット材それぞれのAE振幅分布を求めた.その結果,GFRPに応力を加えた場合低応力レベルではマトリックスの割れ,界面はく離,剪断が生じ,高応力になると強化材の破断が主となる.また,AE発生総数と破壊面積の間には逆比例の関係があることがわかった.発光についてはAEすなわち,界面はく離や強化材の破断が発生しなければ発光も起きないことが確かめられ,発光機構解明の貴重な資料となった.This investigation aims to clarify the relation between failure process and luminescence of GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic) by the method of acoustic emission (AE).
