Crystals of the title compound are monoclinic, space group P2_1/a, with a=29.09, b=5.410, c=4.938 Å, β=106.2°, Z=4. The crystal structure was determined by the heavy-atom method and refined by block-diagonal, least-squares calculations to a final R of 0.087 for 1167 reflexions. Hydrogen bonds (2.971 Å) across centers of symmetry connect pairs of molecules to form dimers which are linked further by hydrogen bonds (2.876 Å) into endless chains along c.パラーブロモベンズアミド結晶は,αとβ相が存在する.本論文ではβ相の結晶構造解析を報告する.結晶は単斜晶系で,空間群,P2_1/a,格子定数,a=29.09,b=5.410,c=4.938Å,β=106.2°,Z=4である.構造解析は重原子法を用い,最小二乗法で精密化を行った.最終のR因子は8.7%である.結晶構造は,二つの分子が水素結合(2.971Å)によって二量体を形成し,さらにこれらの二量体が他の水素結合(2.876Å)によりc軸方向に鎖状に連なっている.この構造はパラーヨードベンズアミドと同型である
