Le travail de recherche examine les processus d’élaboration et de mise en œuvre de nouveaux cadres juridiques de gouvernance foncière dans les pays en développement. Par le biais de trois pays d’étude de contextes juridiques, historiques et culturels très différents, à savoir le Niger, Haïti et l’Afrique du Sud, l’analyse met en évidence que les réformes foncières dans les pays en développement sont confrontées à certaines problématiques juridiques et difficultés de mise en œuvre communes. Elle démontre les limites des modèles classiques et techniques de gouvernance foncière, ainsi que les failles du cadre international et l’influence de l’aide internationale en la matière.
