In this article I try to conduct classification of cleavages in Israel. Cleavages are important element in process of electoral behavior and decide about change of party system. In the first part of the article, I determine differences between cleavage and political and social divisions. Then, in further part of article, the proposed definition of cleavage will be used to examine, whether the social and political conflicts in Israel make up composition with assumed by me definition of cleavage.
