In February and March 2000, thirty-four undergraduate students participated in the language study tour in University of Tasmania. Their expectations and evaluations on the program were expressed in the pre-departure questionnaire survey and another survey was administered after the tour was completed. This report discusses the results of the surveys and future development of the programs. The pre-departure survey shows that overwhelming majority of the participants are not confident about their ability in English, thus are primarily motivated to improve their practical communicative skills.
