Using the concept of deconstruction from Jacques Derrida, the researcher concludes that the hidden meaning in the movie is the meaning that is related to other characters in the story who come from Indigenous Australians. Everything experienced by these minor characters is able to deconstruct the main plot of the movie about the conflict between England and Ireland. So it can be concluded that the real meaning that the writer wants to convey is about the suffering experienced by the indigenous Australians during the British colonial period which placed prisoners in several colonies in Australia
