Intratumoral hypoxia is associated with poor prognosis and response to treatment in H&N cancers. Its identification would allow increasing the radiation dose to hypoxic tumor subvolumes. The main hypoxia imaging techniques are dominated by 18F-FMISO PET/CT imaging. On the other hand, several MRI techniques have been described as being able to show the presence of hypoxia. Among these techniques, we studied diffusion MRI (ADC), dynamic perfusion MRI (DCE) and quantitative MRI (T1 and T2 mapping).
