Analysis for the Origin of Environmental Pollution about Polynuclear Aromatic Hydrocabons and Chlorinated Aromatics in the Atmosphere

With respect to the broad diffusion and the complication of recent environmental pollution, it is required to establish a technique which can determine a pollution source in many sources for setting up an effective countermeasure. In the present study, an analytical technique was attempted for some carcinogenic samples. Polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons（PAH）and chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons （CAH） as important carcinogens were analyzed together by GC/MS-SIM for time and spatial variations. And these constituent ratios were compared between the samples from the environmental atmosphere and the gases generating from coal, wood, petroleum boiler, MSW incineration plant, diesel car, tobacco and roasted fish which were noticed as sources of PAH and CAH. It was found by these comparisons that the high temperature sources such as dissel car and large size petroleum boiler were not seemed the main sources of atmospheric PAH but the low temperature sources such as small size boiler were rather caused that air pollution. MSW incineration plant was a important source of CAH and these constituent ratios were similar to that of the air pollutants. This technique is considered useful to control the environmental pollution
