Virulent bacteriophages specific for Aeromonas salmonicida were isolsted from water samples, collected from fish farms, rivers, lakes and marshes in Japan. The isolated phages differed greatly in the fine structure of the virion, plaque morphology, spectrum of lytic action, stability and one-step growth characteristics. At the same time, They had identical serological properties.
