Background: Given the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus and an uncertain length of restrictions worldwide, it is extremely important to determine the experiences and needs of the caregivers of people with dementia (PwD). Objectives: This study aimed to understand the experiences of family caregivers of PwD during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This study was a descriptive qualitative study using in-depth interviews. The study sample consisted of 29 caregivers of PwD from January to February 2021 in western of Turkey. The content analysis technique was used to analyze the data.
