Pemberdayaan Ekonomi UMKM Pengrajin Handycraft (Studi Kasus UMKM di Desa Batokan Kecamatan Kasiman Kabupaten Bojonegoro)

Indonesia is a developing country that has thousands of islands and many villages, villages are areas that have great natural potential that can be utilized for industrial activities. With industrial activities, there will be many craftsmen in every village and economic empowerment from the local government is needed. This study aims to describe: 1) Forms of economic empowerment of handicraft craftsmen, 2) Obstacles faced by handicraft craftsmen, 3) The impact of economic empowerment of handicraft craftsmen. This type of research uses qualitative methods with a case study design. Observation data collection techniques, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data using source triangulation and technique triangulation. Interative model data analysis techniques with the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that: 1) The form of economic empowerment of handicraft craftsmen is in the form of coaching or training programs and production equipment assistance provided by the local government 2) Obstacles faced by handicraft craftsmen from capital, tools and raw materials for the capital of craftsmen starting a business using their own capital and borrowing banks or cooperatives, for the tools used by almost all craftsmen, they already have the means of production and for raw materials that are lacking, the craftsmen seek elsewhere. Then the constraints of marketing handicrafts, namely from shipping costs with sending small quantities and long distances will incur high shipping costs, with this, consumers will reconsider buying. 3) The impact of the economic empowerment of handicraft craftsmen is that from an economic perspective it can increase the income of craftsmen, the social aspect can open jobs for the surrounding community, and the environmental aspect can help the government reduce teak wood
