The work of this thesis focuses on the development of new biobased polymer composites, fully biodegradablecombining, by melt mixing, synthetic polymers (polybutylene terephatalate, PBAT) and lignocellulosic orcellulosic fillers, such as microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) in the airgel or powder form and cellulosenanocrystals (CNC).The fillers show a large variety of mechanical properties, crystallinity, form and aspect ratio. It has been shownthat the aspect ratio is the dominant factor that improves stiffness but reduces the ductility of the polymer.Three methods were tested to improve dispersion.
