Structured in three parts - "Precipitation", "Condensation" then "Evaporation" - the thesis puts into historical perspective the emergence of the cloud in the architectural field as a specific contemporary problem.Coop Himmelblau’s Wolke (Cloud) project started in Vienna in 1968 is recognized as inaugural. Before him, architectural projects summoned the cloud but not in all the theoretical richness of its dimensions. Or, the problem is partially worked without stating the unifying concept of cloud. The thesis shows how the cloud worries the architectural discipline and its doctrinal foundations in a complete reversal of values.
