We report in this thesis the morphological and conformational control of colloidal semiconducting nanoplatelets, as well as their self-assembly into larger superstructures.The first chapter describes important concepts about semiconducting nanomaterials from the literature. We then present the shape-controlled solvothermal synthesis of γ-In2S3 nanomaterials. The geometry of these nanomaterials varies from hexagonal nanoplatelets to long nanoribbons. A very fine tuning of the lateral extension is achieved using a single experimental parameter.
