Rolled sheets of Aluminium alloys used to manufacture aeronautical structures, such as AA2198-T351 alloy, generally have an anisotropic mechanical behaviour. Statically determined approach for the characterisation of behaviour imposes to deal with homogeneous mechanical fields. A huge number of tests, to multiply the loading paths, is therefore required to characterise such complex behaviour. At the contrary, the Virtual Field Method (VFM), associated to full-field measurements, enables the treatment of the enriched information brought by heterogeneous fields.
